What are cookies ?
Cookies are small files stored on your device by your browser. Check the cookie declaration at the end of this page for detailed information about cookies that you approved.
Similar technologies include local storage, SDKs, pixels/tags, and fingerprinting techniques.
We use these to run the site, remember choices, measure usage, etc
How we classify cookies ?
(and MY legal bases)
We group cookies by purpose. Under GDPR/ePrivacy, we rely on legitimate interests for strictly necessary cookies and your consent for all others.
A. Strictly Necessary (no consent required)
Enable core functions like page loading, security, session management, cookie-consent logging, and language preference (e.g., Weglot).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests / service provision).
Examples: Squarespace session & security cookies; cookie-consent record; language cookies.
B. Functional (consent)
Remember non-essential preferences and enable optional features (e.g., embedded video players, chat widgets).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
C. Analytics/Performance (consent)
Help me understand visits and improve content (e.g., page views, time on page). I use privacy-respecting settings and, where possible, IP masking/aggregation.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
D. Marketing/Advertising (consent)
Measure campaigns and (if enabled) deliver or limit ads on third-party platforms (e.g., Meta/Google).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
I do not set non-essential (B–D) cookies unless you opt in via my banner or Cookie Settings.
5) Services & third parties I may use
Squarespace (hosting/CMS/CDN): essential cookies for security, load balancing, sessions, limited site analytics.
Weglot / translation: sets a language preference cookie (essential).
Unsplash images via Squarespace: media delivered from CDNs; typically no additional cookies, but remote hosting may occur.
Embeds (if you play them): YouTube/Vimeo and similar may set Functional/Analytics cookies; we block these until you consent.
Analytics (if enabled): Google Analytics or a privacy-friendly tool. GA cookies are Analytics and are loaded only after consent (Consent Mode supported).
Marketing pixels (if enabled): Google Ads / Meta Pixel (category Marketing) — loaded only after consent.
Cookie Bot : Cookie Banner, Cookie Management Settings, Cookie Banner Design, everything cookie related. ( https://www.cookiebot.com/ )
Third-party providers process data under their own terms/policies and may transfer data outside the EEA using safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses). See my Privacy Policy for details.
Your choices:
consent, withdraw, settings
On your first visit, you’ll see a banner to accept, reject non-essential, or customize cookies.
You can change your mind at any time and modify all settings via Cookie Settings presented in the left corner down of the website with a black icon.
Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (may affect functionality).
I respect recognized opt-out signals where feasible (e.g., Global Privacy Control) by treating them as a rejection of non-essential cookies.
What I log for compliance
I personally log all relevant information needed for contacting you upon making a general consultation appointment directly within Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling & other third party providers that I work with through Squarespace.
If you interact with the banner, my third party provider ( https://www.cookiebot.com/ ) stores a consent record (choices, timestamp, version, region) so I can demonstrate compliance. I typically keep this for 12–24 months.
Retention
Cookie lifetimes vary by purpose and provider. Essential session cookies usually expire when you close your browser; analytics/marketing cookies may last longer (e.g., 1–24 months). If you use my Cookie Settings, the updated choices apply immediately.
Region notes
EU/EEA & UK: prior consent is required for non-essential cookies.
Other regions: i apply the same high standard for consistency.
Changes
I may update this policy to reflect new features, vendors, or legal guidance. The version posted here applies. Material changes will be signposted (e.g., banner notice).
